A 300 horsepower version of the Mercury Grand Marquis. Its production run lasted from 2003 to 2004, halted mainly because of dismal sales.

QUOTE(Wikipedia)
In addition to a totally revised front and rear suspension with monotube shock absorbers, the Marauder also had a naturally aspirated 4.6 L DOHC V8 with 302 hp and 318 ft·lbf torque. 2004 was the last year for this Marauder mostly due to lackluster sales, blamed by some on bland styling and an incorrect target audience. Originally, they were produced in "any color the customer desired, so long as it was black." Eventually, the Marauder was offered in silver, blue, and red but in limited quantities.

This car is the epitome of UNCOOL. Cool cars don't have to try this hard to impress with performance they don't even have.

Car and Driver, April 2003
QUOTE
Says brand manager Philip Smoker "The new Marauder is a true four-door muscle car--a black shark in a sea of minnows." Hey, easy on the coffee Phil, because a Honda Accord V-6 outruns it to 60 mph--getting there in 7.0 seconds to the Marauders 7.5. Nothing against the Honda, but that's like wrestling your little sister--and losing. We bet every single Marauder owner will utter--at least once--the phrase, "Hmm, this thing feels pretty soft, I wonder if a couple of spark-plug wires fell off."

That it's an evil-looking RWD pseudo-police car keeps it out of the MJ Uncool dumpster.

The only reason I chose uncool over mjuncool was because I saw one do a cool burnout one time, if not for that it would be MJ uncool

And the sound these things make is wonderful. Sure an Accord may be faster, but the Marauder is still a lot cooler.

The only thing keeping this from an Uncool rating is all of the ones I see jacked up on 24" rims blasting shitty rap music. Because of that, its MJ Uncool

Ice Cold.

It's big, it's RWD, and it's got an awesome V8. The only reason I didn't get one is because my wife likes little pansy cars.

I grew up in Saudi. They love cars like this out there. The Grand Marquis/Crown Vic is one of the best selling cars there. Seeing a pumped up version, well it gets me hard. I love it, ice cold. My friend had an Impala SS (it was called Caprice SS there for marketing reasons), and God I loved it. The Bedouin in me rejoices, (Mercury would've made a killing if this car was sold in Saudi Arabia.)

That image makes it look really cool. I saw a really nice late model one on the road once, tinted black windows all around, great sounding engine and I think it was lowered with rims that where maybe just an inch larger with beautiful black paint. BLKCR was it's LP characters.

This car gets a Uncool vote from me though.

I'd give it a cool vote, I've always liked it for some reason, even though it could use a bit more power there.

The first year that's all they had then they added the red, silver, and blue later. I've only seen the red and silver at a dealership and I've never seen the blue.

First there was the Impala SS, then this, and now...the Chrysler 300C SRT-8. Seems the bit three have all taken a stab at this market segment.
