Toyota Hilux ad from South Africa. Not the best advert in the world, but I like the idea.

I really like the new Yaris ones, they're so awkward.

I kinda like them, tbh... Unlike every other company out there, they're not over emphasizing every little feature in their car.

Like they said. It's a car.

This honesty might actually take them a long way. The way i see it, everyone else's message is "buy my car cause it's cool" or "buy my car cause it's SUPER GOOD FOR THE ENVIORNMENT, YEAH FLOWER POWER!"

These guys are simpy saying "it's a car, has wheels, and an engine." To me, it almost reflects maturity, and a grown up image. Almost makes me think the Yaris is nothing more but a reliable daily driver. (Guess the ads are doing their job)

TBH, for nothing more than DD Duty. I would get a five-door hatch....

^I agree that these ads will be effective. They make a simple statement, and they are short and memorable, and chances are they will go viral, because they are so stupid.
And Razor, this is the unfortunate reality in the world, car manufacturers don't give a fuck what you think, they don't give a fuck what I think, or for that matter what anyone else on this forum (i.e. actual car fans) think. They care about the Mr and Mrs don't give a fuck and are just looking for a good efficient, 'nice' car, and not one of us can argue this point, the Yaris fits into that category perfectly.
