Hi guys!
I'm staying in New-York for 2 weeks in march with my sister and I'm looking for some great tips ![]() So I'm basicly looking for some accomodation advice, if there is a particular location to choose, etc... Preferably not too expensive (yeah no kidding ![]() ![]() We've never been there, so we really have no particular idea where to look. I guess Manhattan would be the best, but too damn expensive... Also if you have anything in mind (out of the touristic classics) that can't be missed there, I'll take all ideas! Thanks in advance ![]() |

I stayed in the Clarion hotel by LaGuardia. It's a 10 minute drive to Times Square and not a bad price for the hotel

both times i've been to NYC, it was on business so I stayed at a 'baller' hotel by Times Square.
![]() But I can give you suggestions on food / drinks if you want! I highly recommend Gyu-Kaku, there's a few locations to choose from. Also, Hagi by Times Square is very yummy. |

I was going to be a bit ironic on the answer but actually thanks! It might be useful ![]() I stayed in the Clarion hotel by LaGuardia. It's a 10 minute drive to Times Square and not a bad price for the hotel I'm afraid it's a bit too close to the airport ?(maybe for a few days, but 2weeks...). + I don't think we are going to get a car so I'm trying to look for something in Manhattan for the moment ![]() both times i've been to NYC, it was on business so I stayed at a 'baller' hotel by Times Square. ![]() But I can give you suggestions on food / drinks if you want! If you have some original tips for food that would be great, my sister love that kind of stuff, that would make a nice surprise ![]() Thanks for the answers! ![]() |

I go visit Manhattan every now and then to go through my old stomping grounds
![]() Places to eat: http://www.donsbogam.com/ (if you like korean bbq) places to drink: Bourgeois Pig (this place is a wine bar and the decor is pretty slick) 111 E 7th St, New York, NY 10009 I can probably think of more but this is just from the top of my head. |

Honestly, whether I can afford to stay in somewhere nice or not, I always like to stay in a hostel for a day or two when I go somewhere new. Always a fun time. As for food, theres just so much of it that you cant really go wrong. I've been on a bit of a Korea Town kick recently.
Vanessas Dumplings on the lower east side has great dumplings for SUPER cheap. Try the sesame pancake sandwiches. Libation is great on saturdays and Sundays for brunch (19 bucks and 24 bucks respectively). Unlimited Bloody Marrys and Mimosas as well as really good food. Honestly though most of my time is spent on the lower east side so thats where pretty much all of my recommendations will be lol. |

Just came back 2 days ago, it was a terrific trip! The hotel we chose was Broadway hotel, I put it here because I think it was a terrific choice for the price (700$ for 8 nights), it might help someone in the future

I only eat at Gyu Kaku at happy hour... but it's my favorite restaurant. I coulda given you some good recommendations, but if you asked the servers, they would have probably given you the same suggestions.
Glad you enjoyed it! |
