Well I didn't really do much, first of all is I get a dock for my Windows (I'm using Vista but it'll work on 7). I'm currently using this: http://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/ It's not exactly a technological breakthrough but it does what it's meant to do.

Then all you need to do is organize all your files and program shortcuts on your desktop into folders to make it look clean, and you can put the folders on the dock as well to remove the icons off your desktop. Note: If you're using ObjectDock put the folders in your user folder first (the one that has your name on it and has Documents, Pictures, Videos and all those kind of subfolders inside)

And if you prefer a cleaner look, just hide your taskbar and the dock and voila. The last step now is Rainmeter, which makes everything looks cooler. Finding the right skin to match your wallpaper is kind of a pain in the a** though, but it's worth the effort.

I meant just with Rainmeter. I'm being a complete n00b, but I can't seem to do shit with it. How do I get the same clock/calendar/forecast as you?

Hmm I posted the link of my Rainmeter skin a couple of posts above me, you need the latest Rainmeter 2.1 Beta to use that skin if I remember correctly. Just download it and install it and you should be good.

To use Rainmeter just right click the Rainmeter icon in your notification area in the taskbar, go 'Config' > 'Encoded' > 'Headers' and you will find a plethora of options for you, I only use the date, weather and clock, so just select which colour and orientation you want and it will appear on your desktop.

The weather is feeded via http://weather.yahoo.com/. Find your city, find the RSS feed link and copy it. Right click on your weather interface and there should be an 'Edit Skin' option, open the notepad file and find the default URL in it. Replace that URL with the one you copied and you're done. (Note: If you prefer Celsius over Fahrenheit just replace the last 'f' in the URL into 'C'.)

Oh and the weather thingy will sometimes come up as the degree sign ° only and it's pretty hard to spot. I would recommend changing to a monochromatic wallpaper so that it's easier to spot the different widgets.

Seeing as there are *only* a million themes to wade through, why not post some links to some cool ones. I'm still using the default el-crappo theme that came with Rainmeter & it sucks.

Seagram I posted the skin to the one I'm currently using on the previous page.

Or if you can't find it or see it: http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&sect...nmeter#/d3klh7x

A blanket statement, to be sure... Bassnectar heart.gif but most dubstep producers can die in a raging fire.

EDIT: Including and most certainly Skrillex. Worst thing ever to happen to EDM.

Lol I was messing, it's not even my desktop and the background doesn't actually include the dubstep poster.
