thanks guys, I'm blushing now smile.gif Lemme share a few older photos as well:

1b.

2b.

3b.

4b.

5b.

6b. (maybe this one is my favourite of all time, because it reminds me of the 80s where the crazy spectators were lining the road and this rally in Poland was similar in that aspect)

7b.

8b. (same as #6)

9b.

10b.

11b.

12b.

13b.

And to tell you a bit more about myself: I'm 24 years old guy working in an advertising agency, unfortunately nothing to do with photographing (just design, prepress, print and other stuff).

I visit most of the Czech rallies and usually one World Rally Championship event every year, but all of that is just on my own, not doing this as a job or something - that would be my dream job, working as a rally photographer for one of the famous agencies (McKlein)

Great work! I really like your style.
I used to make much of my living from shooting rally until I was nearly killed in spectacular fashion. It was a lot of fun though, do miss it (well not the rainy days)

Well you must not have seen many rally photos then, there are a lot of awesome shooters in the sport around the world. I wouldn't dare say anyone is the best as everyone brings their own style to the table and what appeals to one may not to another

Truly great stuff! As a Peugeot owner I have to say I like 10b best. wink.gif But I also like #28 a lot, he looks really troubled.

Actually, rainy days are my most favourite, because you have usually guaranteed a lot of action in the photos - splashes, mud, puddles... And you don't have to worry about sun at all. I developed a hate against sun during the last few years - you find the perfect spot and then the sun comes out and totally ruins your plan. It makes everything too contrasty and the dynamic range is too small to capture all of it.

For sure it made for interesting photos, but I just hated getting soaked to the bone, messing up my car (when I didn't have to fly), clothes, etc with mud, even with a rain suit and I ruined a camera in a rain storm once, which was a really expensive repair

Incredible shots thumbs_up.gif

Very impressed with the long shots considering your using a 70-300mm Sigma which I found quite slow at focusing.

I agree with some of the others that it's your compositions that really set you apart from all the other rally shots I've seen. Really makes me want to go shoot a rally now smile.gif

Just seen the extra photo's you've added on the 2nd page and I absolutely love that first shot. Love how the towing arrow is pointing at the blast of ice and snow being broken up biggrin.gif.

I might have found me some new wallpapers biggrin.gif

well i was using the sigma 70-300 from 2006 to half of the 2008, since then its mostly the fixed Canon 200/2.8... so all of the photos i linked here are with the canon...

You should work as a rally photographer at full time. Some of these pics are jaw dropping =)
