OK. I hope we haven't had this before. I see a few random threads have popped up over the months, featuring ads here and there, so I thought, let's conglomerate!
It would be awesome, if people could post ads from their part of the world, be it South Africa, USA, Germany or Tajikistan. The idea here is to show everyone else what type of advertising campaigns your part of the world has had. The ads don't have to be new, just cool. Also, were aren't going to avoid having ads posted 'from the US' that were also aired in Spain or wherever, that's cool. We can't always be 100% sure that the ad was for our market only.Let's just try. The only 'catch' here is that the ads must please only be from the VAG group. This is not because I'm some raging VAG fanboy, but simply because (at least here in SA) their adverts are always 100 times better than anyone else (except that one Honda Accord ad). Also if we keep it to VAG only, it'll stop the thread from being pounded with 100s of videos a day, I hope. Let's try this.
One more thing, if an ad has some sort of catchphrase in your local language, please translate it for the benefit of others.

VWSA had this whole 'you'll think you can' campaign for the Polo. There were other cool ones as well, I'll post them when I find them.

A lot of VWSA's adverts focus very much on the people, and this is one of those. I think this is an absolute banger of an advert.

This one is just super cool. The ad will do the talking.

Cool eh?

Sorry to this this and be the first poster on my own thread, but I just remembered this ad, and it's briliant.

I'd argue that Honda makes the best ads (Impossible Dream is my favorite ad of all time), and Porsche is up there too (the one with the kid visiting the dealership). If there's one thing I give VAG credit for, it's good ads though, I have some favorites, I'll see if I can find them.

^That Mr Roboto ad is brilliant.

Moe, that Impossible Dream ad is quite cool, but it doesn't get to me the way VAG ads do. We don't see Porsche ads here, at least I've never seen one. And I don't mean single ads. Sure there are companies that have one or two brilliant ads, but VAG keeps consistently bringing out the hotness. Please, if you have vids, post them.

I love Audi's the most. From the artistic (the A5s pulling the kite, the S3 playing Mozart's Turkish March, and the A4 made out of cat's-cradle string), to the classy (the four key fobs), to the awesome (the Godfather ad, Meet the Beekers, the Godfather ad, the dog sliding out on an icy road, and the Godfather ad).

EDIT:

A5 kite:

S3 Turkish March:

A4 Cat's Cradle:

Key fobs:

Meet the Beekers:

Audi versus dog:

Audi versus dog, again:

...and my favorite car ad of all time:

Nah, Honda and Porsche consistently churn out some really, really good stuff. The Impossible Dream ad, just really gets me. I love how he goes through all the various Hondas through the years, and just goes out and enjoys driving them all. As an enthusiast, I can't help but be touched by something like that. I think we should've just gone with a "Great Car Ad" thread. It's been done before, but there's always some quality stuff on display.

What good ads has Honda had besides the "power of dreams" ad? Most ads I've seen for them here in the US have been decidedly average.

I'm feeling lazy right now, and my internet is horribly slow, so just YouTube it. There's some great stuff. There've also been some great print ads, such as one for the ITR which didn't show the car, but instead portrayed the ITR as a fragrance, pretty model and all. Open the flap and the sample smell was actually of burnt rubber. Then there was a touching one of something Mr. Honda once said about smelling motor oil for the first time. I have this feeling though that they're marketing effort is only that strong in Europe.

EDIT: Just ignore me, I've taken this thread very off topic...keep posting your VAG ads, VAG-slaves.

There are some real gems in here. VW/Audi definitely has a great ad sense, and they have for ages (look at those old beetle ads and stuff).

Here are a few more cool vids I thought of, and found, from down here in the South of Africa.
There are two more of the "You'll think you can" Polo ads, and some others.
Oh and a Citi Golf is actually a Mk1 Golf that is still produced here to this day. Brand spanking new Mk1 Golfs....how awesome.
This one is super cool and real emotional. Very cool.

This is the never-ageing Citi Golf, as the ad explains

You'll think you can 1

You'll think you can 2

And this one is just straight awesome IMO

I don't know where this one is from, but it's kinda like(very kinda) the Honda Dream Ad.

So much fail it makes my eyes/ears bleed. I also remember one where the camera went through the fuel filler and into the engine to show us WTF Fahrvergnugen is/was.

^^ I actually remember that M5 ad, and I didn't realise until you pointed it out, that that VW ad is a rip-off. Swines.
Now the ad is not half as cool anymore.

Can't let the thread go down like that.

Here is one awesome R32 ad, and one not so awesome (IMO) GTI ad.
