Full Version: Old School Corvette
Dieselstation Car Forums > Multimedia > Car Sightings

awesome condition what year is that?
Looks like a '69. I think the chrome fender vent trim was specific to that model year.
My favorite version of the Corvette.
i was never a big vette fan at all, but i can respect a clean example..

even if it is automatic dry.gif
If i'm not mistaken, it's a 68-69 the two were almost identical IIRC. My Dad had a 68 Stingray Convertable with a transplanted 454 in it. His friend had a 69 T-tops with a 327 I *think*. Neither had original motors in them when they got em. I have some OLD OLD pics from the late 70s-early 80s of some road trips they took in their vettes.

Everytime the subject cars comes up I bug my Dad about selling his 68. What I wouldn't give if he still had it. Aka I wish I had seen it, driven it. Last we heard (20 years ago) It was in Austin Tx somewhere.
