Full Version: BMW Z1
Dieselstation Car Forums > The Cool Wall > Legacy Cool Wall > Cool
The BMW Z1 roadster debuted in '87 at the Frankfurt Auto Show as an '88 model, and was based on the contemporary E30 325. With its 170 HP 2.5 liter inline-6, the Z1 wasn't fast (0-60 took 7.9 seconds), but it did have some cool features; the coolest of which was, far and away, the electric doors, which lowered into the sills so you can have a true open-air feeling while driving.

So, is this cool then?

Poser Mobile !!!!
You're right that it is, duke, but it's also unique and rare, which saves it from the depths of uncool-itude for me. I think it's cool.

I like the dissapearing door idea...

not cool. Unattractive styling, wimpy straight six, and the E30 suspension setup. Nah.
Uncool, the door thing is pretty badass though
