Full Version: Designer of the First 911 Dies...

Just thought this was an interesting article, didn't know much about the guy. Interesting that it was he who started making Porsche sunglasses and whatnot. tongue.gif

Normally when a celebrity dies I'm not too invested.

F.A. Porsche on the other hand. The man was a god in my world.

We live on a slightly darker planet now IMHO.
I've spent all afternoon trying to come up with a quip for creating a muscled up Beetle but, nada. He did come up with some great cars. Even the worst Porsches aren't anywhere as bad as some car maker's best. And Porsche's flagship car that he designed yet to be replaced and always desired.

Designers/engineers/scientists are far cooler than any other celebrities IMO. smile.gif

Whether or not you're fond of it, the 911 was and continues to be an epic saga...
