I haven't been to India in so long that I had no idea they were selling the Wagon R there. Congrats man, and nice photos. Do you actually shoot for Maruti? Oh, and welcome to DS.

EDIT: You'll find plenty of world class photographers spanning the globe in our photography section, be sure to post up your photos there, and they'll really help you up your game.

Is it customary to draw swastikas on the hood of your car?
moe
^ It's a Hindu religious symbol. Hitler swiped it because he thought it looked cool. Just Wikipedia Swastika.

Gotcha. Is that oh-so-alluring 'come hither' stare customary as well?

EDIT: I just read the advertisement and it just made things even more awkward.
moe
^ Heh, I think he may have put that ad together himself, not sure though. But I noticed he's rocking the very sexy, socks with sandals combo.

you are from Pune, arent you?

Welcome aboard.

Thanks Moe for the Welcome.Well to be frank, the India market is very much a price conscious market. That is why you will find a lot of *small cars* sales. But with the changing scenarios demand for luxury cars are increasing ten fold.If you come now you will find a lot of Pajeros BMWs Mercedes.Just to Tell you, recently a group of around 150 industrialists of a particular city booked 150 Mercedes. So it was a huge win win situation for all,Mercedes, them and the Banks.Have you been to INDIA?do you visit here?No..I am nowhere a professional photographer. The Ad Type shot that you see was a basic design done by me.While editing the shot I felt why not create an Ad style photo.Though the Ad is heavily local area centric due to the place where its clicked. And thanks for the compliment on the sandals and socks combo one. wink.gif

Yes Bank. The Swastik is drawn on any new asset.Be it a car, house, machinery you name it.Its a sign that something new and auspicious has happened and in celebration and new beginning, the swastik is drawn. To my knowledge Hitler's sign and our sign were not related in the sense of what the sign depicts. And like I said, its just a fun ad type shot. Not an actual Ad.

Thanks Dukenukem. How did you figure out I am from Pune??You too from INDIA?or you have been to Pune?

Thanks again guys for the warm welcome.

One more shot. The interior of my WagonR.No stereo Deck currently.

I'm originally from Germany but live in America where we're falling apart and becoming a socialist country.
Oh, welcome to the forums, and I hope you enjoy your stay.
I love your photographs so far and like stated, check out the photography sections for some of the best photo's and photographers I've ever seen on the web.
I've fallen in love with Diesel Forums for many reasons and I hope you do too.

minus 100 points...(especially when you're from Germany which has significantly more socialist-leaning policies than America has ever had...and frankly, I'd rather live there than here in a lot of ways).

Pretty funny response and warranted.
Mind you I came into this country when I was 4.
I'm not a tea party person but I've been around long enough to see changes in this Countries evolution that worries me.
But, that's another topic which I won't get into as this is someone else thread. biggrin.gif
Cheers

Well the political complications and working of the largest democracy in the world is an entirely different thing.

Thanks Misnblu for the welcome.
