I saw a video of video of Ferrari F40 vs F430 Scuderia on youtube and general comments were that the biggest disadvantage the F40 had over the F430 was the subpar tires. If we were to put some modern day super sticky rubber on the F40 and send it out on a track against one of the finest track specials ferrari has released in the last 10 years who would come out on top?

I am assuming its a dry road course with your usual mix of fast straights, fast corners, tight corners, etc.

Ferrari F40
Engine Type: 2.9L Twin turbo V8
Power : 478 bhp / 357 KW @ 7000 rpm
Torque : 577 Nm / 426 ft lbs @ 4000 rpm
Weight 1100 kilo / 2425.1 lbs

Ferrari F430 Scuderia
Configuration 90 V 8
Displacement 4.308 liter / 262.9 cu in
Power 510 bhp / 380 KW @ 8500 rpm
Torque 470 Nm / 347 ft lbs @ 5250 rpm
Weight 1350 kilo / 2976.2 lbs

Edit: The video I was watching

I'm sure that the F430 Scuderia is the fastest car in terms of laptime on any modern race track (I mean, it's Enzo quick or quicker on most tracks). But of course the F40 is cooler and that's worth ten seconds a lap cool.gif
I think it might take a bit more skill to pilot the F40...
Pfffffft, f40 every day.
I'd put money on the F40 but I'm really a bit of a fanboy when it comes to that car.
