8C is too expensive for what it is, the beauty almost, but doesn't entirely make up for it.

DBS Volante embodies everything I hate about the sports car market. "Lets make a dynamically sharp, handling focused version of the DB9, then ruin it by chopping the top off." Same stupidity as the M3 Cabriolet, F430 Scuderia spider etc. They are for people with more money than brains.

Tesla doesn't appeal to me.

Lambo and 911, I would rather have the coupe.

That leaves the Maserati. It makes sense as an open top cruiser, because the coupe isn't a sports car, it's a GT.

This was a tough category, but I voted for the Alfa. It's even more gorgeous than the coupe, and they've sorted out a lot of the crudeness as well. So essentially, it's even better than the coupe. How could I not vote for it?
clarkma5
If I had to pick a coupe from these cars, it would be the Gallardo, and I also think that the roadster version of the Lambo is the one that suffers the least in its hardtop to softtop transition, thus it gets my vote.
SwissWhiskey
Lambo, audi quality and is the least compromised out of the bunch.

8C, for the price no

Maser, if I want a open top boat i'd get a M6 Cab

Turbo, you look like an ass in it, get the coupe, DBS you wouldn't but for the price get the coupe.

Tesla, fuck global warming I got air conditioning biatch.
Synesthesia
Really, the Maserati is winning? A 4-seat convertible?

Ew. If you want an ugly four-seat convertible, that can't seat four people, go for it. Fanboy.
duality
Maserati without a doubt.

Wow, this is a close one. Only the Tesla isn't getting any love, and tbh, it's against five of the most revered marques in history, with five of their most beautiful cars ever.

I had a tough time deciding between 3 of these cars. I wouldn't purchase any of these with performance being the first thing to consider if I didn't care much for that aspect of motoring. The Tesla is out becuase a single speed transmission with no 'show' electric motors won't have the presence to turn heads, which is something important when considering a car of this class. I know this because one passed me going in the opposite direction a few months ago and I didn't really care. This presence is something the Lambo has to the extreme but it doesn't stir me like some of these other cars; more so than the Porsche. The Porsche would be a great choice, if it didn't look like every other Porsche made for 20 years. Plus, I am one of those people who would take the Boxster if I wanted a drop top Porsche especially with the Boxtser Spyder now available. So, then I thought long and hard about the Alfa. A car I do really really like but then I saw the 300,000 dollar price tag and remembered the limited production run. Both of these keep us common folk from being able to own one. Not only does it make a car uncool, it makes you the first bourgeois to have their wealth redistributed when my evil socialist friends and I take over the world. So, the Aston. This is my favorite car here. The price tag wouldn't be an issue if you had all the money in the world to pay for it. If you did then watch out, my evil socialist friends and I will try to redistribute your wealth - but only after the guy who bought the 8C since the price tag is harder to see fitting to a car of that quality (not build quality, performance and "show"). You'll have enough power to get away and a car to look classy in as you do it. Now, the Maserati. This doesn't have class to the same degree as the DBS Volante and it doesn't have as much power (yadda yadda) but it is still sexy, it is curvy (like boobs!) while also looking aggressive. It has this 'show' that I am talking about while being reasonably priced compared to cars in the higher end of the market. And when my socialist friends and I are redistributing the wealth you will have ample time to get away while we go after the guy who got the 8C, then the guy who got the Aston and then the sap who got the Lambo! We wouldn't worry about the Tesla owner, their batter would die before getting out of reach.

No California, hu?

The Ferrari California was in DSCOTY09.

I'm between the LP560-4, the DBS, the Maserati Gran Tursimo, and the Porsche Turbo. I really feel like its back to Top Gear. I'm trying to think about how this car would be used for. I feel if you're going for more GT-ish it'd be the Mas GT or the DBS, but I'm not, if I had an open-top convertible I'd be at the beach and driving the canyons, so that leaves for the Porsche Turbo and the LP560-4. The Porsche would probably double as a good daily, but I feel like a convertible is strictly a weekend car, so I think I'm going to have to go with the LP560-4.
