Hi Guys,
I am a little bit lost looking for a DSLR camera for my GF.. I did a little bit of a research and all the reviews point to Canon Digital Rebel T1i. They seemed to be all over ebay for $699ish

Do you guys think its a good camera for someone who is just getting into photography? or should I be looking at something else? Any advice is appreciated it!

thanks!

I think its good for a beginer.
it has some programed setings and auto mode so any one can use it, and the quality is nice

thanks! I read some reviews and I think I am going to go with the previous model the 450D... they are significantly cheaper. I think it would be a good cam for her to learn.

My dad has a T1i, and its definitely good for a beginner. I never like using it because, to me, something just feels off about it. Can't quite put my finger on it though.
