it's just cruel to make me choose between the 911 and the granturismo. the granturismo is a better gt car, the 911 is the better all-rounder (and better sports car)...so i'll vote for the maser here, since i'm sure the 911 will show up somewhere else in dscoty.
Frederf
Agreed, how can the Aston even hope to compare with the Maz?

I too went for the Maserati. I maintain it looks like a dustbuster...but it's a very sexy dustbuster. The DB9's improvements for 2009 are nice but the cars still bore me and I just can't cope with a 911 that's not a coupe (old speedsters are the exception).
Mitlov
I don't know a lot about any of these cars, but I'll go for the Aston (especially the coupe) because I think it looks the best and because it's got a V12.

Hello Granturismo S, easy win.
Razor
The only car here that is a legitimate Grand Tourer must take the win. Maserati, hands down. Sexy beast.

The 911s are off the table...I would never buy a non coupe 911 (speedsters maybe exempted, as mentioned by Clarkma5)

The Merc is OK. However when I imagine the typical SL owner, its always a woman in her 50s who treats people around her rather poorly...she might also have a small dog who lives in her handbag.

That leaves the Maser and the DB9. In terms of what they do, they are pretty similar cars. In the long run I think I would be happier with the DB9. It still looks modern after all these years. I think it's the best of the Ian Callum designs. The Maser is beautiful, but I don't know how well the Granturismo will age...the Quattroporte (sp?) is already looking dated IMO.

the maserati just makes me shiver.

I was initially leaning towards the 911, but a convertible just won't cut it. All the other contenders, though, outweigh it by 800 pounds.
I guess I'll go with the DB9, because it looks good, is less fat than the others, and has good old V12 power.

911 being my dream car I had to go with it. Targa version rather than the soft-top though.

Yeah, me too, I just love the Targa. It's really expensive though...

Maserati Vs Porsche. While the Maserati is prettier i cannot ever think it can be a better gt car than the 911.
