Just found this one, it's actually a local company, some guys from SA.
Check "WORK 3" for their car stuff. Pretty slick work.

Saw their studio ? The moment I saw their studio my mouth popped open (you know like in the movie The Mask). Love that website!

Saw Shepherd site, as you said its quite 'meh'. Looks like old analogical style from the early 90's...

The last one is a great site! good work and good ad! Seeing the studio you can tell who is doing good money...
PDJ-PHOTO.COM
Think this is good. Maybe you dont like the style that much. Much hdr/painting feeling into it, but i do. Something different, have a look at his website...

You still need photography for CGI. You have to shoot the background plate. CGI is just the next step in the evolution of photography. it is no different than when Photoshop first came out. If you want to survive the change, you are going to be forced to adapt.

I don't think any company has an "official photographer." You'll notice that different photographers will have work not only from one car to another but sometimes even the same campaign/catalog will have more than one photographer's work in there. There's another photographer I have bookmarked on my work computer (at home now) that also does a ton of work for Audi and Olaf Hauschulz also does some stuff for them. Basically once you're top-tier you do work for everyone. Although I have been wondering who did that Maxima rig shot going over the suspension bridge for a long time so thanks for pointing this guy out smile.gif

If you all don't already, you all should look into subscribing to Lurzers archive or Communication Arts. They are more or less magazines that showcase some of the most creative advertising from around the world. Almost every agency I've ever been to subscribes and because of this, photographers and rep agencies advertise in them. It is how I found out about the majority of the photographers I consider to be my inspiration.

Evening everyone,

I came accross this site earlier: http://www.motorsportphotographers.com/

It's basically a site linking to automotive photographers portfolios, seems like a great idea and you'll be glad to hear that there is a large proportion of Diesel Station users on there smile.gif

Hello All!

Just wanted to introduce myself as the owner of the site that Dean posted above - honest, not related to him in any way and I haven't paid him to post the link!

I saw this forum appear in the server logs and thought I'd come and say hello. I've just read through the previous 4 pages of this thread and have added a number of sites to my 'to-add' list, as there is some fantastic work listed, most of which I'd not come across through simply searching google.

As Dean said, there appears to be a number of people on this forum whose sites I've already added, or are scheduled to be posted on motorsportphotographers in the next month or so. If any of you are not listed and would like to be added, drop me a line - you may already be queued up as I'm trying to get a reasonable number of posts pre-planned before Christmas.

Thanks once again and I look forward to seeing more of your work (and more of those links).

Wow on the bikes! He must have one of those smaller bike rigs you get. One of the pro rig companies here by me has like 5 different kinds of rigs from bicycle rigs - truck rigs. I want them aaaaaall!

He built his own mc-rig =)
PM me if you got some pics from that companie. I've been sketching on a design, but its going to cost a fortune to actually build something.

A random chick I stumbled on in Flickr. Her photography is absolutely not car related, but my god is it inspirational. This is the kind of thought provoking, conceptual photography that makes me want to go out and shoot. Plus she is absolutely gorgeous!

She has that same kind of PS work that some other successful photographers like her have: Lara Jade, etc.
