this onecan be replaced for the sum of about $255 when they made the video but apparently they've taken some heat for it and have lowered it to $99 (still a ripoff)

Weird...my friend's had an iPod for a good long while now (18 months + I'm sure) and he hasn't had any issues with his battery

he doesn't use his too frequently. It depends on how heavy usage it gets.

If people actually knew how to take care of batteries they'd last a lot longer

I have a Creative Nomad Zen NX, and the replaceable battery was one of the main factors I considered when buying it. That, and the sound quality blows away the iPod.

really? i read a review of it in PC Gamer and they said the songs seemed more muted, you coudlnt heear high notes as well etc, if its really better id certainly get the nomad as you can get 40gb or so for the price of 10gb ipod

i am a mac guy, and i was just liek HAHA APPLE GOT OWNED. and then i show it to my step bro and hes like, ohh apple came out the next day and said it was totally a mack up and a fake. i would get an iPod over any other MP3 player. that nomad is like "nailing your dick to a board cool" for one. and its just homo-erotic for threve. if my battery went i out i wouldnt have settled with some techsupport jack-off. i would go to the apple store, go to the genious bar, and ask to use the red phone. STRAIGHT to steve jobs.

seize = cease ?
I have a 15gig Ipod. I have had a few problems with it freezing. It is working fine now. Although i have had problems, if I was given a choice of mp3 players i would still choose the Ipod.

It is just so damn cool!

I really like apple's hardware, but I don't want to deal with their software, which makes the iPod one of the few apple products I'd consider buying. Except it's so damn expensive...

I have one of the original Nomad Jukebox's and I have to say the battery crapped out really fast and I know how to take care of batteries. Whats so lame about it is that the only way I could ever find another battery is to order one online, not that thats a bad thing, but I can never find accessories for it anywhere local. So now, it just sits in a corner like the POS it is.
I would love to get an ipod... one of my hardcore windows buddies has one and he loves it. Even using it with windows.
