Hey all, I have been deep into getting together the FIRST Domestic performance magazine. So I figure who better to design the cover than my key market. This might be posted up on some other sites but I will have a poll where people can vote on their favorites. I’m willing to PAY the winner so let’s see you best work. The cover car can be found HERE so you have your choice of pictures. Our Logo needs to be at the top, here is a low res version, Only the TunerRevolution part is needed.



Besides that the issue is intake related. We have articles about air intakes, intake manifolds, and air filters so if that could be incorporated in anyway that would be great

Up selection of the winner I would ask the winner to provide to me a high res version (I will provide all the pics) to receive payment.

ok I was about to start work on this and I'm pretty sure I'd be able to come up with something you liked, but a couple of problems arose. 1st none of those pics are magazine cover quality. They're just regular pics in a parking lot with lots of distractions. Plus no moving shots, many magazines use a moving shot as cover. 2nd off if I were to use one of those pics, they aren't big enough. they're 640 x 480. Anyone that wants to attempt to make a hi res version is going to need a little something bigger than that. More like 1600 x 1200 or 1024 x 768 at most.

this i know, the originals are 3264x2448, Im just asking for a rough small mockup, everything you would need if you were selected would be provided. If you absolutly need the hi-res versions give me file names and i will email them to you. Im not looking for a finished product, just a mockup.

Something CLEAN, very simple but something that is striking, Base it off your favorite mag and we will see what you come out with.

Not totally sure of what else is going to be in the issue and stuff, but this is what I've been able to come up with so far.

like change the red background to a purple, to match better with the sky.

And what is the content of the magazine? You said that the neon is the cover-car, but are there more cars in the mag. Or do we have to make-up some things.

Rules are pretty simple; Contest ends the 17th, one week from today. At that time I will take all the entries (this is posted on other sites) and make a poll, winner gets to make a hi-res version and gets the prize.

The content so far is small; this is just s small test issue to send out to advertisers and such. The cover car and story is about the SRT-4. We have 2 how-tos and tech articles on AEM's intake for J-bodies. We also have explanations of air filters, intake manifolds...ect. You can make up headlines and other content that can be replaced. I understand these are a rough draft, so don’t slave over it (unless you win ) Any more questions feel free to post or email me.

How much are you paying?

Some people could spend 10-15 hours on this for a quality job, that would probably cost $500 though.

Give an idea of pay, as in, $500 won't happen, $250 is possible, etc.

yea, i get paid $50 just to make a small banner (468 x 60), and that's a bargain. That's why the guy kept coming for me to do shit for him.
