I'm going to go against the grain on this. Great car? Hell yeah. Good design? Yes. Do I think it's cool? No.
Whenever I see cars of this design; longer hoods with a set back cabin such as the Jag E-Type and the C4 Corvette I think of the type of people who are exemplified by Peter Griffen in the Family Guy episode where he becomes insecure about his penis size and buys the sports car which has a phallic shape to it. And I cant help but see the same thing in all cars with similar designs. The cool wall isn't about how much we like a car, or how good it is. It is instead about the image about the driver. I see this and I think of Peter Griffin worried about his penis size which makes it uncool.
...no. Haha, you forgot the poll, but this is definitely one of the coolest cars of all time.

OK fixed.
I was worried about you for a second there.

I was just posting up what another unnamed forum member said last time we had an unfathomably cool Ferrari up on the cool wall.

I had the pleasure of seeing one of these last night during a visit to a private collection. It was unrestored, in beautiful condition, and absolutely gorgeous. For me the coupe is one of the greatest designs to ever come out of Ferrari. This car defines the word cool.

I prefer the non-popup light versions, but a beautiful car, most desirable Ferrari IMO.

I prefer the pop-ups myself.

One is the Euro version and one is the American version. I think the American version is the one with the popups, since the height of the euro headlights didn't meet american height regulations, but that may be backwards.

Definitively cool.

From Wiki:
QUOTE
Early Daytonas featured fixed headlights behind an acrylic glass cover. This particular setup was completely abandoned in favor of pop-up twin headlights when lobbying efforts by the Center for Auto Safety led to a variety of new safety regulations for U.S. road traffic in 1970, one of which concerned minimum ride height.

I really can't decide which I like better, the pop-ups are awesome, but the fixed lights aren't without their appeal.

This car is so cool-looking that, even when British Leyland blatantly stole the design and re-worked it to stretch over a 5-door family car, even
that looked cool!

Haha, she probably would. She thinks her '94 Camaro is the coolest car in the world, and any other low-slung coupe is just trying to imitate its style...go figure.
I'm just playin' though man.

I'll apply those standards when I wish here. But when it comes to this car I just can't. I wanted to be iconoclastic with the Jag, but I think this car is just way to cool for that.
