Hey guys just wanted to mention I recently made a blog entry on both of these new cameras. I'm interested to shoot with the MK IV, anybody getting one? Anyway just wanted to open up a discussion on these if anyone is interested.

I just got the 5D mkIi, I saw the Nikons iso performance and was really really impressed. Then the mkIV was announced and the iso impressed me there too. But I have only seen up to iso 3200, I couldn't see any noise at all though.
The AF point system in Canons looks amazing. I think its more sports orientated though. So I'm going to stick with my 5D mkII for a while

Ya I'm interested to shoot some motorsports with the Mark IV since the autofocus has always been the weak point for Canon. The system in the D3/D3X is the best of any camera I've ever shot with so it will be interesting to see if Canon has caught up.

not quite sure if anyone has seen this yet but ISO 102,400 thats wild!

Seriously that looks better than my D3 at 25,600... I'd like to have known the ambient light reading at the time that image was taken.

I'm saving my pennies for the Mark IV - it looks dreamy.

For the lower ISO settings I could see arguments going both ways, but the 102,400 the Nikon looks hands down better to be.

I'm a sports shooter (well aviation) and white lenses are the holy grail. The MK4 is a refined MK3. Nothing ground braking but we didn't ask for anything ground breaking. IMO the price could be a bit lower but with the Video feature thats not going to happen.

I'll have to disagree on the autofocus being the weak spot of the MKIII, the weak spot is how you have to have it perfectly set for different situations which is hard to get a hang of. Offcourse the D3 has a better autofocus, but never was a weak spot.

I am want to upgrade to eather a 7D or MK3 in the future. Not too happy about the 7D's noise but I don't have the money to replace the EF-S wide angles with L lenses if I go 1.3x.
