I don't think this car is cool.

Its philosophy of overt electronic aids just doesn't sit well with me. Sure, I kind of like the looks of it but I'm not a fan of everything deep down. The on-board computer with the numerous graphs and readouts belong on a race engineers laptop while the car sits in a pitbox or the grid before a race. It just doesn't have that raw mechanical appeal that, say, a Lotus has or even the older Skyline GT-Rs (R33 and back) possess.

Uncool.

I love this thing, but new cool wall in mind, trying to explain it to a date would be horrifyingly difficult and boring. That being said, it's so amazing that it still gets a neutral from me.

Oh, they have no idea wtf VDC is. They just no what it is, and to some extent, what it's capable of (destroying the big name sports cars). They don't see it as a "nerd's car" or a "Nissan" but just as the GT-R...

I wanted to say neutral, but I saw one a few weeks ago in a parking lot, and it was surrounded by a dozen fanboys. :/ I was hoping it could have shaken them off with this generation.

What, are you crazy? If anything this is THE Skyline that pretty much cemented the existing fanboys and brought in a whole new generation of them.

I had no real interest in the previous Skyline range, but I've driven the GT-R and it is fantastic!
