This car was introduced at the SEMA Auto Show in 1999 and debuted a year later. This S/R package added a stiffer suspension, more horsepower, rear disc brakes a strong clutch with a short throw 5-speed manual transmission, and better air system. In 2003 the car was given some minor redesigns along with the entire ZX2 range but was killed that same year because ford hates having performance cars that may subtract from the sale of the mustang. Ford's final limited production count was 2,110 units in the few years this car sold.

note: only the 3rd picture is a 2003 model ZX2 but I am unsure if it is the S/R that you are voting on.

Hmm had never even heard of this car.

In any case, it doesn't seem to have done much to improve the late Escort's appearance or performance, and by the time the 21st century came around the Escort was overdue for being put out to pasture regardless. Uncool.

That is what makes the S/R cool, it's rarity. You can get one and it will be more exclusive than a Ferrari!

I did find this, it's modded though with an after market lip kit and aftemarket fenders.

Not a fan of the ZX2 line. If people don't know of it or remember it, there's a reason.

However, mildly nice traits and rarity save it from seriously uncool.

Never was a fan of the Escort. Such a lame name anyway. ZX2 package is lame.

Though it's a rarity it does nothing well/interestingly/with style so it's uncool. Not majorly uncool though because it's unpretentious and would make me furrow my brow if I saw one.
