Nürburgring video (92 MB)

This is a video from our trackday yesterday at the Nürburgring. I uploaded it to Crappyshare because of traffic issues with the original server.

The video was taken by the driver of the blue BMW M3 (pic at the beginning) and shows Holger, a clubmate of me who doesn't have a lot of Ring experience. The M3 driver is very experienced at the Ring so Holger asked him to give him some kind of guidance over the Ring. You see that at some places when the M3 was waiting for the Caterham.

In the middle of the video they are overtaking my blue Caterham. Despite being down on power (165 hp vs. 200 hp of Holger's car) and having the heavier car (my car is about 45 kg at disadvantage sad.gif ) I could keep contact with them which of course was because I have more laps there than Holger. Nevertheless he did an 8:17 BTG (bridge to gantry) which is very impressive for someone with his low Ring experience, even with a guidance car.

Enjoy! smile.gif

I certainly did!
I saw that you didn't take the carrosel (sp?) (both, the big and the small one) completely on the inside. The concrete banked part. Why not, is it hard to do that?
salvation
just watched the video, it seems odd watching it from rear view.

the 7's look good on the ring

Because I was fearing for my oil sump which is extremely low. On road tires with their high flanks you can go through Karussell and Schwalbenschwanz without contact but I was on low slicks yesterday and decided not to take the risk.
