That's some high praise. I imagine the STI version is going to be a modern day classic.

Is the F-RS going to be the same in terms of handling?

Yeah it sounds like Scion is erring on the side of stiffer springs and less damping (as is the classically japanese way of doing things) but I'm sure the differences will be pretty subtle.

Yeah I'm curious how much the race cars will differ from the stock car, particularly in the powertrain department. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't make many changes though and just run it around for the sake of proving it can do it.

I'm curious to, but if they do what you mentioned, that will be seriously lame -___- |

I actually think it would be kinda awesome if they just put a good suspension and a rollcage in a stock 86 and ran it around the 'ring for 24 hours as an endurance proof of concept sorta thing.

Yeah, and there'd probably be far less chance of this happening again: http://jalopnik.com/5271505/lexus-lf+a-is-...urburgring-race |

Maybe things have changed in recent years, but I thought the N24 had classes for basically stock cars like Golfs and such.
If that's the case I'm sure it will have a respectable race. |
