Fusion. The rest are pretty good cars to, but lack the optimism of the Fusion. Except maybe the Kia. Love the Soul, but love the Fusion more.

As much as I want to love the Fusion, I'm still bitter about it taking the win away from the Kizashi. Also as slick as the exterior is I find that interior uninspiring and dated. I think the Taurus shows what Ford can do a lot better.

I didn't vote for either though. I went with the XJ. After years of having an XJ that essentially carried a styling theme from decades ago, this one's bang up-to-date. It's gorgeous too, particularly inside. That interior is absolutely without equal in my opinion. It's dynamically on the ball with a full-range of talents from being a comfy land yacht, to an enjoyable sports sedan. It might actually be the finest car on sale today.

The CTS wagon really needed V8 power to get my vote here.

Of course, but had the CTS been properly equipped with V8 power it may have been a tougher decision.

Can you change my vote from the Taurus to the XJ? I really don't want to see the S4 win when Jag deserves it a lot more.

^ Replace the S4 with the 335i sedan in this vote, would you have put that in the sports overall? I wouldn't have. It could go either way really, and for similar reasons I wasn't sure whether to put the S5 convertible in the sports or non-sports section.

JMO, I'm not making a big stink about it or anything, just making an observation.

It's just that the S stands for sport. On this board, it gives it an advantage over every other car in the category. Base cars belong in the non sports, sports based trim levels belong in the sports section. That's why the CTS V, VW GTi, Jag XJR and Taurus SHO aren't in here. That would be a better comparison against the S4.

It doesn't really matter, it's not like Audi is going to put "Dieselstation Car of the Year" in their next commercial.

Strangelove, the XJR doesn't exist anymore. Instead, there's the XJ Supersport, which uses the XFR's hardware. It's included in this poll with the rest of the XJ range, as is the Taurus SHO, and Fusion Sport. The S4 isn't winning because "S" stands for sport, it's winning because the VAGinas like it better. I really don't think the Audi's S badge is what it used to be. There was a time where the S4 was a competitor for the M3, and the RS4 was just added firepower. I think Audi's watered-down the S range, so that it now aims for the 335i, and the RS4 takes on the big boys. That's just my opinion on things, I know others will see it differently, but all the S4 comparison tests were against the 335i hence its inclusion here.
