Got the chance to shoot a local Ariel Atom here near me. These are really cool cars, basically a big 2 seater go-kart with a TVS supercharged 2.0L engine.

C&C very welcome!

6. (nothing special here, he just wanted a picture of the inside. I was low on light and didnt have much to work anyways smile.gif )

7. (this was one of those accidental shots. i was just messing around, snapping a couple quick ones before we packed up and when i got home, it really caught my eye. i know nothing technical about it is right, but I really just like the shot)

1. Nice angle and lighting, but i think the background and the pavement is bit too bright. My eye goes to the sky on the left.
2. This is a nice, nah very nice shot. Is it a rig ? Or hanging out of a other car ?
3. This one is better then 2, but it looks like that guy is a criminal with that black from the mirror in his face.
4. Same problem as number 1
5. Here is the lighting much better but still, maybe darken the pavement a bit?
6. However it's not special for you, i think the gear knob is awsome.
7. This is just coowl, just randomly shot but still amazing.

I think it was a mistake to shoot this car from a low angle because it masks or hides the shape or appearance of the car. I find it difficult to picture what the car looks like from these images because there aren't any eye level images of the car. The lighting is OK, but the comp is questionable in this case (although would have been fine with other cars).

Thanks for the tips guys

and @ Bartus, yeah they are rig shots. The mirror we noticed during the shoot too...unfortunately, there isn't much to rig off of for this car, so we were pretty limited in what angles we could go from.

Great pics. I think the last shot is my favorite, I find it really unique. The rig shots are unreal as well.

This is my dream car... These spark up memories of Top Gears test drive, freaking hilarious and so fast! Although Jeremy said it was a supercharged Honda Civic Type R engine.. Was it changed?

From what I have read, the UK version of this car uses the Civic Type R motor. But the ones over here mostly are using the supercharged 2.0L Ecotec motors. This guy has a TVS blower, which is much better than what comes with the LSJ stock (Cobalt SS)

The newest version, the Atom 3 only comes in a K20A (CTR motor). Supercharged or N/A. They are also about to release the new Atom 500. Yeaaa the 500 shares a connection with the HP.. 500hp in that little car. Can't wait to see that Top Gear!!!!
