The Aston is beautiful, but all things being equal I think the Boxster is the more attainable and more enjoyable car in the long run.

I have similar logic here. The other options here are very expensive and I'd much rather have their hardtop counterparts...I'd feel like I bought the wrong car! The Boxster though, it just makes sense as a convertible and the RS60 version looks damn nice.

XKR was done last year.

I also went for the Aston, much to my shock. Though I adore the idea of an RS4 with the wind in your hair, word on the street is that the RS4 has lost a lot of its magic in transition from sedan to convertible, so I had to avoid it. The Porsches are both fantastic cars but I could never pick a 911 Convertible over a coupe version and the Boxster special edition is a waste of money over a standard Boxster S, so to vote for those would be sorta hollow.

I always thought the Vantage Coupe was kinda an all-show no-go affair compared to my favorites in the segment, but chopping off the top makes it make more sense. For starters, it's even prettier, and secondly, it's a quick, wind-in-your-hair sporty tourer, and it makes sense that way.

The stock suspension isn't even the same as the RS4 wagon and sedan. I believe the sports suspension is optional. I could be wrong though...

I went with the RS4. I love the exterior styling and the interior's busy, high-tech look really appeals to me.

They all had pluses and minuses but 64K for the Spyder was too good to pass up. Lightweight is a major plus and you could pick up an extra car or three for the difference between that and the Aston. Boxters are pretty drab so having a specialer version is nice. The RS4 was tempting but too fat and thirsty. It's a big padded cell phone of a car. I don't doubt the 911 Turbo is great but it seems so wrong to get one for basically double the boxter when the boxter does the roadster cabrio dance just as well if not better. The Aston doesn't get my blood pumping at all.

had to go with the aston. while most of the other cars certainly outperform, who really buys a convertible for the performance. that aston is downright sexy

i think the RS4 calls out to me the loudest, that engine is so nasty and it's just... like a modern muscle car.

second would be the 911 Turbo. I agree with clarkma, a 911 Turbo with no roof really isn't a 911 Turbo
