So i have a few jackets with 2 zippers. To zip it up you have to have both together which can sometimes be annoying. I never find myself using the lower one for anything. Does anybody know what purpose the second zipper serves as?

TWO-WAY separating zippers have two sliders and can zip down from the top and up from the bottom. They are used for parkas, car coats, ski wear, & uniform jackets. Their advantage is that the bottom can be unzipped part way when you sit down, to prevent stress at the bottom of the zipper.

Yeah, I discovered that use a couple years ago, with my ski jacket. Double zippers also help to remove the faux-erection some jackets show.

I use the double zippers on my goretex jacket when I need something from the pockets of my bib-snowpants, but it would be too cold or wet to undo the top...makes a difference when you spent 5 minutes arranging your hood and balaclava just so.

My gf has a jacket that has a zipper and then buttons. I watched her zip it up and then button it (I swear we're talking about her jacket) and I asked her why she just didn't button it instead.

That was the fucking most boring sentence I have ever gazed upon in my entire life.
You must be the sort of person that molests children in weird fucked up ways to even think that was remotely funny at all or, in a matter of fact interesting

PLEASE do us all a favour and launch your device to access any sort of internet at the wall, repeatedly making sure you never access any sort of website again to avoid me reading your utter life draining sentences.

Yours Sincerely,
