Clarkson's list sucks. Royally. However I feel I can do better. So in the spirit of opening a discussion, list your top 25 cars (100 is way too many, 10 isn't nearly enough). You can list them in whatever order, If you want you can put short blurbs by the cars as well stating why you put them in certain locations. Anyways lets make a list better than Clarkson's. Include racecars too if you feel like it.

25. Toyota Supra - This one will probably change but its the ultimate Japanese musclecar IMO.
24. Lamborghini Muira - Beautiful shape, truely one of the few supercars I'm actually interested in.
23. Ford F150 - Here's an odd one. I'm a bit of a Ford fanboy but honestly the F150 is everything that a pickup should be in my mind. Bonus points for straight 6 powered models.
22. Mazda RX-8 - Zmog what's a rotary doing so far down! Well its a great car for people that want a sports car with 4 seats.
21. Honda Civic - Yes there's a Honda in my list. A few caveots though. Only up to the EK generation, only if it has a B16 motor in it, and only if its a hatchback. B16B prefered.
20. Toyota Land Cruiser - Kind of an odd one here. The newest once are meh but the FJ40s and 60s are dead reliable and are amazing offroad, as stonking combination.
19. TVR Tuscan - The ultimate british sports car. Fast, cheap, and totally not reliable.
18. BMW M5 - This car has always kind of set the standard for fast sedans for me. Its hard to hate it.
17. Mitsubishi Evolution - A series of cars that appeals to the boy racer in me, doesn't sound as good as a WRX though.
16. Subaru WRX - Boxer engine + AWD layout = cool
15. Toyota Celica - This car has been through a lot. It went from mini-mustang to spaceship but I like something about every generation. From Rallye machine to buzzing (though overpriced) future car.
14. Porche 911 - This car has always been around and is a constant benchmark for other cars to aspire to.
13. Dodge Viper - The car that still defines the Chrysler group to this day. Its an american car I'm proud of.
12. Nissan Silvia - The birth of cheap drifting, this car offers good power in a simple RWD layout.
11. Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale - 2nd most beautiful mid engined car ever made.
10. Ferrari Dino - Probably the most beautiful mid engined car ever made.
9. Mazda Eunos Cosmo - The carrier of the 3 rotor 20B motor, this car just has to be listed by me.
8. Nissan Skyline GT-R - A bit of a shocker here but cult boy following or not this car redefined racing, and is a glorious technologicial package.
7. Toyota MR-2 (not MR-S) - This car is legendary for offering an affordable MR car with two glorious motors, the 4AGE and the 3SGTE.
6. Mazda Miata - The rebirth of the poor man's sports car. Never have I had so much fun with so little.
5. Triumph TR-3 - Ok so I'm a fanboy but as far as I'm concerned this was the best cheap roadster from that era.
4. Lancia Stratos - Ultimate rallye car. There will never be a car that will look prettier going through the dirt, plus they redefined rallye racing while they were at it.
3. Mazda 787B - Their legendary Le Mans winner, there will never be a greater racecar in my opinion. Its absolute proof that given no regulations, a rotary will dominate the racetrack.
2. Mazda RX-7 - When it was first introduced the car helped Mazda out of rough times, and in the end became what I still consider one of the ultimate sports cars ever.
1. Mazda Cosmo 110S - This car not only was the genesis of practical rotary cars, it also saved Mazda and allowed them to continue their awesome.

24) Masarati MC12-An enzo, designed by someone with a soul
25) Subaru Legacy-I didnt buy one cuz I don't like them!

5. Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante - Just soooo pretty.
4. 355 Spider - Ok the 355 in general, but I particularly love the Spider. Just a great car all around.

2. McLaren F1 - Ridiculously fast, handled pretty well, was uncompromised, and if all that wasn't enough...it was beautiful
1. E39 BMW M5 - It has it all really. It's fast, practical, and exceptionally handsome too.

I like those cars because of performance and looks. I'd rather have a Koenigsegg than a Mazda-what is wrong with that?

BTW, I've never even played Project Gotham Racing 3.

Augh...so dull...there is like 30 seconds of neat stuff going on, then about 5 minutes of waiting...I cant deal with it.

I like rugby...all the same skilz...none of the waiting.

Nothing is wrong with that...its just that those all seem like poorly though out choices. Im not saying that they are...but my first thought is "he just opened up a book of super cars, flipped to the index, and started listing", if you put why you like each car beside them it will curb other people thinking like that.

For example, why do you like the CCX more than the Carrera GT?

Then again I'm a twit...so there is a really good chance I don't know what I'm talking about...really good.

I like the CCX more than the Carrera GT because it is way faster, and IMO is better looking.

And there are waits in American football because it requires strategy.

Leaf I put the '93 Buick Roadmaster on my list, and the Carrera GT is nowhere to be found...does that mean the Buick is a better car?

25) Audi 200 Turbo Quatto 20v - one of the ultimate sleepers, the 20020vtQ was easily the fastest car in it's field in it's time period - able to leave 300E's, 535i's, Q45's and LS400's in it's tracks. Lots of power, quality, character. Why not.
24) Mercedes Benz E55 AMG S/C - God this is a cool car. 516 lb-ft of supercharged V8 stuffed into a staid E-class is right up my alley.
23) BMW M Coupe (the Z3 based one) a real German hotrod, with more grunt than precision. Fun to look at, a hoot to drive.
22) VW Jetta GLI MKIV - i just love these cars, even stock. They're so cool. The tuning potential calls to me. I know these aren't the best cars around, but i like them, so... fuck off.
21) Acura RSX Type S - one of the last remaining small cars that are fun to drive. Well, it's not really remaining. Dammit.
20) Porsche 911 Turbo (993) - the last 911 that truly made me swoon; the new ones are too large. The 993 was bursting with energy and aggression in Turbo form. The 997 Turbo is hard to tell apart from the normal one.
19) GMC Syclone - so badass. Coolest thing is the brake-torque launches.
18) Pagani Zonda F Roadster - Oh good god, do i need a reason?
17) Volvo S60R - my ideal daily driver, in Laser Red please. I Just like it.
16) BMW 335i coupe - this car is just good in so many ways. And fatally attractive.
15) Audi Coupe quattro 20v - brought the concept of 4WD to performance cars
14) Ferrari F40 - the best supercar ever.
13) Ford Escort Cosworth - oh fucking sweet.
12) Lotus Elise - the best driver's car for sale in America today.
11) FD3S RX7 - What more sports cars should be like - well thought, creatiave engineering - not just a bunch of horsepower thrown at a crap chassis that weighs 2x too much. Too bad about the durability issues.
10) Bugatti Veyron - I don't really LIKE the car per se - but i respect what it represents and what it's accomplished. 10th is an honor.
9) NA Mazda Miata - kickstarted the sports car market, and it's a brilliant car to drive.
8) Subaru WRX - the regular 2.0L EJ20 one. What a riot to drive. laglaglag B00000ST next gear. This is one of the most capable all around cars i've driven, ever. The fuel consumption is totally ridiculous, though. Drive it like it's meant to and well... it's bad.
7) VW GTi - created a class, still an icon, still a riot. highlights: MKII 16v, MKIII VR6, MKIV 1.8T, MKV 2.0T
6) Ford Mustang SVT Cobra ('03-'04) preferrably in Silver. These cars just ooze badass.
5) Volvo 850 T5-R Estate (in Banana Yellow, preferrably) - come on, it's badass. And the aftermarket loves 'em.
4)
3) Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo (Z32) - the best car to come out of Japan. It was state of the art in 1989, it's still a beautiful piece of sculpture and a serious performer now.
2) Audi S4 Avant - B5 - Nogaro Blue. 30 valves, two turbos, four wheel drive, 6 speeds, one hell of a sleeper. Handsome, fast, tuneable, safe, useful, i mean, it's everything to everyone. rare too.
1) Audi RS4 Sedan - B7 - Okay, i stand corrected. THIS car is everything to everyone. Phenomenal performance, space, comfort, an 8250 rpm redline... gahh... i LOVE this car.

now let's see how many people hate my list, lol DS.

Let's see how many people READ your list. Or any list in this thread, for that matter.

I couldn't even begin to consider every car ever made and break it down to a top 25, and I think even attempting it is a fallacy. No matter what you do you're going to skip or exclude something important so every one of these types of lists is stupid by their very nature, whether it be Clarkson's, Dakian's, b00st's, or mine.

i concur; Football bores me to tears.

Maybe it's cause UNC sucks ass at it, but i just generally can't stand to watch football. Too many breaks, takes way too long, just not interesting to me, it drives me nuts.

LOVE watching hockey and basketball though.

more like i was waiting for dakian to read it and bitch about there being a bunch of volvos and audi's and VW's on it because everyone seems to have a vendetta against me for my taste in cars.

but yeah point taken.

Well, we could all bitch at anyone's list. Cars are such a personal thing in terms of what appeals, and no two tastes match exactly. Any list is going to piss off almost everyone who reads it.
