New STi looks better than new Evo, and that is the only thing that makes one better than the other in my mind.

The only one I've driven is the Eclipse, and it had torque steer up the ass. I think the Civic Si and the Golf GTi are somewhat out of their depth with the rest of the competition here. The Evo and the Scooby are natural born enemies, and I'll take the Scooby thanks.

I went for the GTI...the STi and Evo are both brilliant (I prefer the STi because it's more my style, and I prefer Subaru in general) but the GTI just has something that really draws me to it...the feel of it. Or maybe it's the plaid seats. Who knows?

The WRX has the best sounding engine here and anyone who disagrees with me is wrong.

What about the STi?

And the Eclipse has potential...a big V6 could sound really good, but I don't know for sure.

EVO 9 > STI.

Only thing the STI has for it is the slightly more luxurious feel and design - but for a boy racer who cares tongue.gif

Gee Tee Eye. I think its the best all around car in this section in terms of what you get. A fully loaded GTI would be worlds cheaper than an Evo and easier to live with every day. Of course yeah it's right in the middle on this list in terms of speed but sometimes thats just how the GTI is... It's always right in the middle of the segment, you just cant go wrong

Evo, after having driven both the STi and the Evo I'm pretty sure I liked the Evo's tranny more although it has been a few months and I might be wrong.
