Dieselstation Car Forums _ Cool _ Challenger SRT10 Concept

Posted by: Mitlov Oct 14 2008, 11:42 AM

This is a pretty straight-forward car. Take one Challenger SRT8, take one Viper, swap engines. Add a carbon-fiber hood and a functional shaker hood. Upgrade brakes and add Bilstein shocks. End result is one hell of a muscle car, complete with a 8.4-liter, all-aluminum V-10 engine with 600 horsepower and 560 lb. ft. of torque. It makes Shelby GT500s piss themselves. But is it cool?

Cold as ice. Hell even the Challenger SE is cool...

Stylstically it's all wrong. Also, V10s and muscle cars don't mix. Uncool.

Did someone say Autozone? Uncool.

Ehhhh...I definitely agree about the stylistic "improvements", they do look tacky. Not being struck with coolness here...I'll say uncool, leaning towards cool.

Viper engine in a Challenger is frozen, but the iffy aesthetics drop it down to cool overall.

Factory shaker, nose down/tail up stance, 560 lb-ft. Frozen

yeah, those gas guzzlers. they're always just so uncool

Yeah, fucking gas guzzlers. Shit, there's no way this is Prius-frozen.

Times have changed, being a gas guzzler is uncool now. Some can get past that, but this isn't crazy or fast enough to be frozen.

If you saw someone driving this car down the road, would you think: "Oh that guy is cool!" or, "What a tool," that is the question here.

Uncool.

Gas is cheap here, gas guzzlers are awesome.

Remember we're judging the car and not the driver. If that were the case there are very few cool cars because most drivers are outright assholes.

The reason the M3 is so uncool is because of the drivers...same applies here says Dr. Strangelove.

Oh come on. Being cool has never been about being practical, and this isn't worse on gas than anything from Ferrari or Lamborghini or Aston-Martin or Koenigsegggeggegg or...

Unless you're going to stop calling ANY supercars cool or frozen, I don't see how you can credibly take a stand in throwing this thing into the uncool pile based upon its fuel efficiency. If you don't like muscle cars, fine, call it uncool for that. But don't act like its fuel efficiency is the deciding factor.

Werd. The Murcielago R-GT is still cool, single-digit MPG or not.

^ Cool would be an understatment.
