I have a dual flash system containing tripods, wireless triggers, umbrellas, and 2 yongnuo 460 flashes (just cheap ones). So im just wondering what you prefer:
Flash with or without the umbrella, and what is the different effect of those two? I see a lot of carphotos without the umbrella, wouldt the light be to direct for the paint, and not spread?

go try it with both, you'll figure out pretty quickly why people tend to shoot cars with bare bulbs

we are not shooting non-reflective humans here... leave that for the rest... we like things the hard way...

If you want clean shiny reflections, go for bare bulb.
