Well, this isn't a vote for which one looks better.

If that were the case, I would have probably voted for the Mini.
Although I think the Fiat 500 has to be ranked as the "cutest" car ever made.

I voted for the Fiat 500 because this vehicle was affordable to virtually every low income earner in Europe, had rock-solid reliability and was a remarkable achievement in the field of compact and efficient design. It always amazed me that you could actually fit 4 adults and a small amount of baggage in there.

I was in Italy recently, and I was impressed with how many of thes old cars were still on the road, being used as daily drivers.

No idea, I've never driven any of them, and have only seen a real Mini once or twice.

The Mini.

sure, the Beetle was the best selling car for a reason. And the Deux Chevaux (spelling?) brought motorized transit to smelly french peasants along with a pleasant "popcorn popper in a blanket" motor noise. And the FIAT 500 was... well not much good to say about it from this quarter...

but come on, nothing touches the Mini for "people's car". It PIONEERED the use of transverse engine, FWD packaging- which nearly ALL family cars use. It's space efficiency was incredible- four people (wearing hats!) inside of a car less than 10' long? It was revolutionary.

And the Cooper 1275S kicked ass.

MINI.

I'll have to agree that the mini wins hands down. I never really cared too much for the Beetle though ~Puts on flame suit~
