The forums are just standard Invision board, with icons and colors by the original site creator Diesel (who does actually do design work and is quite good at it...)

Synesthesia- Of course I got the 5-Speed manual. Thats what totally makes this car fun in my eyes. Plus Honda makes some of the best transmissions and drivetrains in the world. So that was a easy choice.

Nismo- Yah I've followed this site for years and I always thought Diesel came up with some of the cleanest stuff around. I'd actually never heard if Invision Board before you mentioned them. I went and checked out there site and it looks like they have some very nice creative products for communities such as this one. Maybe Im just used to the Forza 3 forums that I post on all the time. The Microsoft forums over there are such a pain! Cheers!

Really not a whole lot to be honest. I didn't quiet have enough moolahh to spring for the Si at the time. Which of course has the K series engine. Thats the engine you wanna be modifying. But with this car, it only has the R18. Which don't get me wrong is a wicked little engine. Its just not the best platform to be modifying. Plus Im not the kinda guy to install a CAI, fartcannon and a chip then go brag about how much "faster" my car is lol.
But anyways!!!

The plan is keep this car for 3-4 years and wait for the correct year of R33 GTR that Im after. In canada if you wanna import a car from Japan. It has to be a min of 15 years old. Booo sad.gif. The R33 has always been my dream car. CANT WAIT! Aslong as plans stay on the right track...

But in the meantime I wanna improve the looks of my R18 and just skip the performance upgrades and save that money for the GTR or something not car related.

Heres my Civic R18 summer parts list so far smile.gif.
1. Work Emotion XD9 Rims - Gunmetal
2. Skunk 2 Lowering Springs - Should lower it by about 2" to give it a mean little stance haha!
3. HID 6000K
4. Also Im thinking about these new set of headlights. But Im not sure how they would look on the white car...???

Anyways thats my plan so far. Who knows how far the summer job funds will take it haha. But I think those will be a nice styling upgrades for the civic. Cause really looking for more performance out of the R18 is just dumb. Unless you go the Turbo route? But then you should have just bought the Si haha.

R18s CAN be made to be relatively fast, but for a lot of money. Local car here in Tampa....

She is pushing 280hp out of the R18.

280hp out of a base model civic is asinine. She fails at common sense. (but so does all of florida)

Well, the R18 is the lightest model, and I guess if you wanna spend that much on it, it's not bad. That car fucking moves out too.

There is NO way I would wanna do that to the R18. I'd rather rather just buy another car that would actually be reliable at that power range. Like having a 300hp R33 or 350Z, would cost you the same (If not less) and it would make that kind of power reliably. Also all the other components of the car are built to withstand that kind of power so it would hold up much better when you give it a little thrashing. I'd be worried about shoving a piston through the block of I had a 300hp R18. WHATS WITH THE PINK WHEELS!!

Also 280Hp FWD = Lame

AWD or RWD is the way to go when you start stepping into that power range.

Thats my opinion.

It's a SHE who owns that car. Hence the pink wheels. Her motor is fully built as well. It's been pushing that power for more than a year now, and it's her daily.

Oh Im sure her motor is fully built. The only way to get the R18 up into that power range would be to go that route. But has she done everything else in the drivetrain, suspension, transmission....? I dunno man, its a nice car. But just wouldn't be my route if I wanted to get into that kind of power. Although those Bride seats do look pretty sweet, she def made a good choice on those. Also since its a woman building this car, it automatically gets the happy2.gif dance.gif haha!

@911xx - Lol sweet ride mate, Im guessing its the one in you sig smile.gif Well done! I wish I would have test drove one just for kicks. That would have been a blast. Although I have ridden in a RSX type S before. So thats basically the same deal just in a slightly nimbler package. JEALOUS! But shoulda gotten the taffeta white WOOT!

Also anyone know the answer to this question? I wanna get the chrome exhaust tip for my LX (from honda) but I was curious if it will change the sound of it at all? Its just like a wider chrome sleeve that clamps or fits around the end of the stock exhaust. It looks really clean. Any thoughts?
