Got to shoot some really nice BMWs yesterday. Here are a few pics from the day/night.

stop using that vignetting/color burn. 2nd pic is retarded, 3rd pic is potentially interesting.

I think they loook pretty cool. Number 2 pic is a bit of a dud; it doesn't portray anything really, just the button, I think that is where dcho is comming from.

I think if the lighting colors were more even (the same light on the side as used in the front) in pic 3, the picure would be a lot stronger. I do like the lighting in pic2, but I agree that the composition is nothing worth posting about. Also it may just be me, but for some reason the rims look overly sharp.

Maybe 2 is a bit boring - but the others look really good. Much better than anything I could do anyway.

The lighting in 1 and 2 is all wrong. Other than that, they're nice. wink.gif

The 2nd pic really is pointless, but the 1st and 3rd pics aren't too shabby.

I shoot bits and bobs like that for my mag shoots because they want them so while the pic is not the best close up of start button there is no need the harsh comments about it.

agreed... it is a detail pic of a small feature of the car,and so what if the lighting is a little off, i have seen plenty of pics come off the BMW media site of the interiors of cars that are much worse than that, so wind back the harshness of the criticism, a touch, people...

So what's so wrong about it?

I meant 1 and 3. #1 has a lot of distracting reflection all over the car and the lights that are on create bright spots. The same for 3 except worse in that there is a neon reflection which extends to the wheels making the left side look odd in various ways. There is a lot of light on the front of the car from the front that contrasts strongly with the really dark lighting on the top of the car and the colorful lighting on the left of the car.
