i remember a while back dieselstation closed the option of new members, maybe its time for that again because there has been a lot of annoying spam lately....i dont know my 2 cents

Clark was on vacation in Australia when that happened.

We already ban so many new members just for being stupid that there's no need to close registrations entirely.

What we do need is to ban proxy servers from registering. That would cut down on a lot of the one post spammers.
