I am interested in buying a Honda Accord. I am debating between buying a used one or a new one. The dealership I go to is http://viphonda.com/model/2014-honda-accord/ and they seem to be offering a great deal on the new Honda accord, however, there's a 2010 model for $14,000. I know Hondas are good cars and was wondering if I should save a little bit of money and go with the 2010, rather than the 2014 one.

Opinions are appreciated! Thanks!

The newest Accord is a really nice update on the older car; a little smaller, more efficient, nicer looking inside and out. A 2010 will be plenty reliable but is legitimately a generation behind. Keep in mind that you'll also be missing out on 3-4 years of warranty, though if the one you want is CPO then that kinda cancels out.

Comes down to how much you notice the difference between the two generations and whether the cost difference makes sense to you. Would also recommend that you compare the new Accord to the Mazda 6, which is arguably the best car in the segment right now.

Hondas age just like any other car; the new car is going to go longer before having issues than one that's several years old.

I agree that you owe it to yourself to test-drive the Mazda6 before buying any midsize sedan. I'd also toss the Ford Fusion into the mix. Both are definitely worth a test-drive.
