935 DP. Here it is. What do you think? And no, it's not a one-off

Posted by: Phix Apr 9 2006, 10:18 PM

Uh.... a little more info, please? I'm currently looking at it and wondering ... WTF?

Posted by: clarkma5 Apr 9 2006, 10:26 PM

You'd have to ask LoudPipe.

Posted by: PBB Apr 9 2006, 10:42 PM

It's a modified car built on the '89 911 Turbo by http://www.dpmotorsport.net/home/home.htm of England.

And it gets an uncool from me, while being a fast road car and a capable racecar, Porsches of this vintage give me the dry heaves on looks alone. My lust for Porsches completely skipped the 70's and 80's.

Frozen biggrin.gif. Looks hawt, and has speed to match biggrin.gif

Posted by: clarkma5 Apr 9 2006, 11:16 PM

While I love the whacky '70s and '80s Turbos, this gets an uncool from me because it's not a factory job...just another aftermarket tuning company spending some rich guy's money to make something ridiculous.

Posted by: moethepaki Apr 10 2006, 04:31 AM

It looks hideous.

Are those giant fog lights really necessary. Uncool.

Posted by: PBB Apr 10 2006, 06:52 AM

Those are the headlights.

Posted by: dukenukem Apr 10 2006, 07:38 AM

Isnt this the same model on which the Moby Dick was based on ?

Posted by: PBB Apr 10 2006, 08:17 AM

Yep, the 935 911 Turbo.

Here's a pic of the Moby Dick (935-78): http://www.jacky-ickx-fan.net/Wallpapers/photos/Porsche_935_Moby-Dick.jpg
And a less extreme racing version of the 935: http://www.jacky-ickx-fan.net/Wallpapers/photos/Porsche_935.jpg

Wow, how very craptastic.

Posted by: BankieVR6 Apr 10 2006, 08:41 AM

sounds dangerous. kind of looks dangerous too.

Posted by: Boxster17 Apr 10 2006, 10:10 AM

As much as I love Porsche's, can't say I really care for this one much.

Posted by: Espen Apr 10 2006, 10:59 AM

I was hoping for a 935 "Moby Dick" and not a kit. Looks like a serious build though, so it's probably just as fast as the faintly rediculously fast orginal.

Posted by: z0ne Apr 10 2006, 11:57 AM

I think it's deserving of just a "Cool" because of it's power. It may not be a looker, but, it makes up for it with it's performance.

Posted by: imisplacedmine Apr 10 2006, 12:53 PM

I can't call a car cool, when it looks like it would make a great wood sander.

Posted by: BurningSky Apr 10 2006, 07:40 PM

That sure is one ugly front bumper. Sounds wonderously fast though. I'll go with cool.

Those are the headlights.

Headlights in the place of fog lights?! Those wacky germans.

Posted by: DZ302 Apr 19 2006, 01:17 AM

that's ugly as hell, but light and fast as hell...also unsafe as hell i'm sure...which makes it frozen for me. and it's probably called DP because you get fucked in both holes if you wreck

Posted by: stig259 Apr 23 2006, 07:05 AM

its too much for what it is. uncool. sad.gif

Posted by: trail_boss2 May 12 2006, 08:53 PM

Cool, its ugly as shit but it looks to be so fast that its dangerous and I like that in a car.

Posted by: Phix May 13 2006, 07:05 PM

Stripped out race car with Porsche foundations and road legal ta boot?

Frozen for me.

Posted by: PAULIE_D May 13 2006, 11:36 PM

Any car with the term "DP" in it's name gets a cool vote from me.

Posted by: tune May 20 2006, 03:07 AM

Oh Paulie.

I think its fuckin awesome!
