Bravo! This is still one of my favourite threads...

Its confusing to feel so inadequate & so inspired at the same time going through this stuff. tongue.gif

Yeah i think its way more frustrating the inspiring tongue.gif

Just so much awesome work, wish to see some before and after pics.

The funny thing is sometimes it actually is really simple. I've had images with hours and hours of work that goes unnoticed and other times I'll spend very little time on a shot and get an overwhelming response from people asking me what I did in PP lol. I think if we spent a day watching over the shoulder of a professional retoucher we'd all be surprised, their workflow is so streamlined it's amazing. They know exactly what to do to get a certain result and oftentimes spend much less effort than we might to get the same effect just because their knowledge of software is so vast.

heart.gif this thread!

This is what I really want to get into. I have some pics that I am going to try some ridiculous manipulation with, so busy though.

It isn't really cars, but this guy John Flynn was gonna be my photography teacher before he got into an accident sad.gif I think he is back now though. He did a couple guest lectures in other classes that inspired me a lot to get into what I'm doing now.

Nice sites, it's good to see how they were done. I'm into compositing as well, don't get me wrong, I'm all for 'capturing the moment', but for me Photography is a Visual Art, not just a journalistic one, I don't want to just take a picture, I want to create one and half the time I've decided how I'm going to PP a shot before I've even taken the photo.

Oh, picked up this months top Gear Magazine yesterday and one of the first ads I saw was this:

I'm not seeing that? Been looking for a bit now. Am I going blind or have they removed it?

thanks for putting this up Sean. Loving it. I'm trying to steal as many hints, clues and tips from each link. I think i'm more impressed with how the small details add that extra level to an image (e.g. the guy's arms in the light house photoshop)

If I find anything similar during my travels I'll post up for sure.

Just found this site today...

http://artbuyersbible.blogspot.com

Don't think there's a more comprehensive listing of retouching / CGI sites anywhere on the net.
