Seriously, welcome to my world. I have no idea who made this but it's so true I can't even laugh about it.

thankfully, I have worked with editors who understand that some car owners are d/b's and can't get anything right.

I've left more than 1 car owner hanging and told them that their shoot / feature had been canceled because they pulled similar crap on me. My editor supported me 100% and even made a follow-up call to the car owner to tell him that none of his future builds would be featured in the magazine either.

Jesus, how true that is... you could pretty much anticipate every retort the 'client' had to say.

Working primarily in the private market, I've dealt with similar owners more often than I'd like to recall... Their amazement that shooting twenty photos doesn't take twenty minutes never ceases to amuse me...

lol

This has happened to me once before (fortunately only once I guess). I had the editor with me at the 'start' of the shoot when this kind of thing went down. I had a location planned, permit payed for, gear set out & ready to roll. The guy refused to take his car into the location because 'it wouldn't clear the 2m gravel road he had to drive on'. So I just went to my car. Took out a camping chair from my boot, sat down & poured myself a cup of coffee from a flask. I just sat there looking at them. They eventually worked something out & we used another location nearby.

But seriously guys. This shit isn't our problem. Our job is to photograph the cars. Not deal with the crap like this. I pass this shit onto other people who can deal with idiots like that.
