My old Volkswagen was capable of 90. Most modern cars can go fast, much faster than 90 too.

And this really should be in OT.

What kind of car was it?

Crown Vic, Caprice, Mustang, Camaro, Impala?

I know the CV's top out in the 140 - 150mph range, but that's on the interceptor version only. My civilian CV tops out at ~115mph before the limiter kicks in.

For 1998 the Police Crown Victoria added a much improved rear suspension,  new larger 4 wheel disc brakes, new 16 inch wheels, an improved speed sensitive steering system, and all speed traction control. The carryover 4.6 liter SOHC V-8 was given an extra 5 hp, now rated at 215 hp. For 1999 the speed sensitive steering was removed due to police officer complaints about the unpredictability of the steering assist. New for 1999 was a badge of the back of the car that read "Police Interceptor" instead of "Crown Victoria".

1998 Ford Police Package Crown Victoria
Quarter mile time 16.9 sec
0 to 100 time 27.59 sec
Top Speed 130 MPH

As for the LT1 Caprices;

QUOTE
1996 Caprice/Impala SS - Engines (LT1)
5.7 Liter SFI V8 Engine (LT1)

The 5.7 Liter LT1 small block V8 is the standard powerplant for Impala SS, Camaro Z28 Coupe, Z28 Convertible, Caprice Wagon and Corvette, and optional on Caprice Classic Sedan. It produces 300 hp @ 5000 rpm, 285 hp @ 5200 rpm and 260 hp @ 5000 rpm for Corvette, Camaro and Caprice/Impala SS respectively.

All I want to know is how much horses they got. My ultimate goal in a car is just to be able too beat the shit out of a cop car.
