Yeah, as if the Maybach didn't give it away. Who else buys those things?

This maybe uncalled for but I think thats a such a garbage purchase to make. For the money - why would you ever pass up a Rolls?

I guess the Maybach is more of a limo, but i'd happily sit in the back of a Rolls too.

The guy next door to us bought a Maybach years ago, narrowly missing the Phantom. But he's since regret not getting the Phantom instead.

I think I would vomit on the Mybach if I saw it. It really is a gross car. If I had the money I'd buy the Rolls. But then again, I'd rather buy a whole shitload of properly cool cars.

I'd actually get a fully loaded new MB S65 AMG instead of any of those. It's got waaaaaaay more tech.

In isolation the Maybach isn't a bad car. I rather like it other than the Chinesey looking front-end. However, when an Arnage or Phantom are in the same price range, and the S-class (which sits on a more modern platform) is significantly cheaper...there's no way in hell I'd put any amount of money down for one of those. My luxo-barge of choice is still the W140 S-class, though I'm also partial to the E65/66 7-series.

One word - discretion. Ask anyone who actually makes that kind of money that works for a living (CEO, etc.) and I'd bet the vast majority of them would never buy a Phantom just to maintain a low profile and yet get the same luxury. It's really hard to justify downsizing to the employees when you're out flaunting your Rolls-Royce.

The Maybach is hardly the last word in discretion though.
