Audi should put up the R8 V10 FSI. That would settle the score.

Ahh, didn't notice the hood buldge. And around here there's so many M3's and people with 335's that put aftermarket facias on it i couldn't identify the bumper as M3.

Lame comparison though.

It's like all the articles that have come out that pit the Camaro SS vs the Mustang GT vs SRT-8 Challenger. Two of those are top of the line/performance models of their class. The mustang isn't, it has the cobra. But they have to compare the GT vs the SS for some reason. OMG, it's slower? No wayz!

Frankly, at least in the last gen, the GT was the better car. And GT500s cost waaaay more than Camaro SS's. And all the comparos I've seen have had the Challenger R/T and Camaro SS versus the Mustang GT track pack, not the SRT-8.

Not saying the GT500 is a better comparo - just saying if the SS is much lower in numbers then it's their problem that their top of the line has less power. Not that power is the fix-all (obviously since the S197 GT500 was yuck) but just that it doesnt mean you compare the SS instead to the GT just because their SS isn't "there" yet. Most the comparo's i saw it was the SRT-8 Challanger.

I hear the new GT500 is 10X better. Which is cool.

BTW, the SS with all the options puts it over $40k. WTF? Yeah, options suck who cares, but still that's crazy.

I'm waiting for the 5 liter 12:1 compression "GT" to come out and be the middle model that one up's GM's SS - especially since the Stang' already has been shown to be able to handle on level with the camaro even with a live axle.

Or maybe Audi could start making the A4 RWD.

Thats a two seat super car with no boot. The M3 the is the 911 Killer with space for two friends in the back.

I agree on Audi not being done on this one.

lol, 911 killer. Have you ever been in one? They may put down similar stats, but just totally different feel for me. Never driven either (except 01' 911 AWD TT), but ridden in both.

Ha... I lived with one for 1.5 weeks. Friend was out of town told me to take care of the beasty. Raspberry.gif

I might of put it the wrong way, the M3 with the DSC auto gearbox will win barely against a 911 S. I've only driven a stick 997 (on street only). On a track the the 911 is probably the more composed car, but the M3 probably wins because of HP.

And to back up my opinion

I laughed out loud at 911 killer too.

The comparison is not whats cool here, its the balls of the advertising firms themselves.

Too bad Audi are pussies.

Poor babies might just pull all of their advertising if things get too rough just like they pulled all of their cars out of that DTM race when the racing "got too rough."
