what freeway(s) do you take to get up to the mountains, diesel?

i've never been up there yet, in my 18 years of living in so cal.

well.. i usually take the 5 to the 14 near magic mountain.. then cross over towards palmdale/lancaster.. and take the 14 to the 395. 395 goes all the way to 203 which takes you to Mammoth. no real mountain driving at all.. just nice smooth highway driving.
